After all of the old material has been removed from our workspace, we begin preparation. The first part of the preparation phase is creating a strong and flat surface where we will set the tile. At this time, we solidify which tile foundation or substrate on which we will lay the new tile. The most common substrates are drywall concrete cement and plywood.
